The news has done nothing but push the total war agenda after the Syrian chemical attack, but who really stands to gain from the overthrow of the Assad regime in Syria.
A father has buried his baby twins, who were killed in the suspected chemical attack in Khan Sheikhoun, Syria. Abdulhameed Alyousef originally thought Aya and Ahmed were unaffected by the air strike, and left them with their mother to try and help relatives nearby.
The US has targeted a Syrian air base in the western Homs province with nearly 60 cruise missiles.
The attack on Shayrat airbase was launched from two US warships in the Mediterranean Sea. Syrian authorities say five people have been killed and seven others wounded in the strike. They say the attack caused civilian casualties in villages near the airbase.
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the strike almost destroyed the base. Pentagon says Washington had warned Moscow ahead of the attack to minimize risk to Russian personnel located at the airfield.
US defense officials say the attack was a one-off, meaning it was expected to be a single strike with no current plans for escalation. US President Donald Trump says the strike was in response to what he calls the Syrian government’s recent chemical attack in Idlib province.
Trump recently in rapid succession sent more and more US troops to Syria within a month, so many that the admin. stop disclosing the amount of soldiers to the public. So we can assume the level of troops were probably at their highest when the gas attacks occurred.
The gas attack wasn’t a surprise to the US, the CIA must of coordinated with their terrorist allies and ordered them right before the president of China is meeting with Trump. I’m thinking the Pentagon & Deep state by attacking Syria openly is sending China and North Korea a message, also Japan and South Korea that the US will act if they feel threatened..
- The airstrikes targeted Shayrat airbase near Homs. The US has said this is the location from which Syrian forces launched a sarin nerve gas attack on the rebel-held town of Khan Sheikhun on Tuesday morning.

- The Pentagon said 59 Tomahawk cruise missiles were launched from the warships USS Ross and Porter in the eastern Mediterranean in the early hours of Friday morning, local time.

- Russia, a Syria ally that has been helping the Assad regime target rebel-held districts, condemned the US action. Vladimir Putin’s spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said the president regarded the strikes as “aggression against a sovereign state in violation of international law, and under a false pretext”

- Peskov said Trump’s move would have consequences for relations between the two countries. “With this step Washington has struck a significant blow to Russian-American relations, which were already in a sorry state.”
