Russia: FSB publish footage of op to arrest men suspected of plotting coup in Belarus
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) released footage of an operation to arrest two men who were suspected of planning to attempt an alleged coup in Belarus. Footage published by the FSB on Sunday shows Belarusian lawyer Yuri Zyankovich and political scientist Alexander Feduta being arrested on the streets of Moscow at an undisclosed period of time. The Federal Security Service have also released video showing a group of five men allegedly discussing details of the military coup in one of Moscow’s restaurants. According to the FSB, Zyankovich and Alexander Feduta were among the five men. Zyankovich is said to hold dual American and Belarusian citizenship. Earlier, on Saturday, April 17, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced that an alleged plot to assassinate him and his family in order to carry out a coup d’etat had been neutralised. He also alleged that the US was involved in fomenting the plot. The US State Department has completely denied the allegations of involvement. The FSB said that the two men were in Moscow to meet with anti-Lukashenko Belarusian generals to discuss the plot, and have since been handed over to Belarus following their arrest. According to the FSB, the ultimate goal of the conspiracy was to overthrow the constitutional system in Belarus and entrust the leadership of the country to a ‘Committee of National Reconciliation.’ The alleged coup and assassination attempt were scheduled for May 9, which is also the day Belarus celebrates victory over the Nazis. Belarusian investigative bodies are probing a criminal case against Zyankovich and Feduta under Article 357 of the Criminal Code of Belarus concerning ‘conspiracy or other actions committed with the aim of seizing state power.’ Belarusian opposition leader Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who has been exiled in Lithuania, called the accusations a “provocation on the part of the Russian and Belarusian special services, into which citizens of Belarus and the United States were drawn.”

Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko or Alyaksandr Ryhoravich Lukashenka is a Belarusian politician, who has served as president of Belarus since the establishment of the office 26 years ago, on 20 July 1994.
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko REFUSED the offer and stated that he could not accept such an offer and would put his people above the needs of the IMF and World Bank. This is NOT a conspiracy. You may research this yourself. He actually said this!
