My impression is that DARPA cares only about what is possible and cares nothing for what is morally or ethically right. A lot of DARPA’s technology, as explained on this channel, can be applied toward malevolent ends. I totally understand that DARPA must push the boundaries without regard to ethics because adversaries of the US do not care about ethics. All the same, I am not comfortable with DARPA and it’s technologies. The US experiences a regime change every four to eight years! Whereas one regime may have the best interest of the people in mind, the next regime may only wish to subjugate the people and subvert our system. The United States is too unstable to hold potentially devastating technologies. I have never been arrested. I obey the laws. I have never been to a protest in my life. The only thing I consider myself entitled to is a life free from government micromanagement and intrusion. Do not force this profusa hydrogel device or any other tech on me, my family, or anyone else. I have paid a lot of money in taxes over the years. Government should work for me, and I do not want these projects. DARPA’s creative endeavors are feeling awfully oppressive right now. Do not turn good citizens bad by ignoring our interests. Mostly, we just want to be left alone, so leave us alone. Also, consider what you are doing and stop inventing new ways to potentially torture, crush, and kill people. The US is unstable. Remember that. We have a regime change every four to eight years. Remember that too. Even DARPA is unstable. How many high ranks resigned in the past year? At least two.
