PROMOTE ISRAELI PROPAGANDA OR ELSE: ONLY ONE SIDE PERMITTED DURING ISRAEL WAR
There are two sides to every story, unless you are a mainstream media Presstitute, little boys and girls who act like men and women that put out for their corporate pimps and government whoremasters.
The New York Times reported Saturday that Israeli journalists who have raised concerns about the number of Gazans who are dying in Israeli’s effort to snuff out Hamas have been targeted by protesters for allegedly betraying the country.
“There are fewer people voicing opposition to the Israeli operation,” Natan Sachs, the director of the Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution, told the paper. “There is much more vitriol for those who do.”
The paper spoke with Tal Shalev, a political commentator for Walla, the Hebrew news site. She told the paper that she feels compelled to continue writing articles that hold the Israeli government accountable and that she does not subscribe to the notion that it is disloyal to do otherwise.
“There is a sentiment here saying it’s not the time now to deal with the malpractices and problems, and we should wait until after the war because now is the time to unite and not criticize the government. I don’t fully agree with that.”
Reporters Without Borders has accused Israel of attempting to oversee a media blackout in Gaza. As of Sunday, 23 reporters have been killed while reporting on the war.
Gilad Erdan, Israel’s envoy to the UN, said, “Obviously, we would never want to hit or kill or shoot any journalist that is doing its job, but we’re in a state of war. Things might happen.”
TRENDPOST: Sachs noted that prior to the war, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was in the fight for his political life. He was facing corruption charges and weekly protests opposed to his judicial power grab. See:

Thousands protested in Tel Aviv on Saturday calling for Netanyahu to resign.
Alon Pinkas, a writer for Haaretz, wrote that Netanyahu should have resigned after the Hamas attack but he lacks the “qualities and character necessary to do the right thing.”
“The governing coalition is 64-strong, which means five members would need to defect and vote with the opposition. Finding those five is impossible, and the idea that five coalition lawmakers would grow a spinal cord, develop guts and other necessary organs needed for this would be a medical wonder,” he wrote.
