Recently Arrived Illegal Alien Minors Spread Deadly Virus
NOVEMBER 04, 2014n crisis” concocted by President Obama to let tens of thousands of illegal immigrant minors stay in the U.S. has fueled a deadly respiratory virus epidemic that’s struck American kids across the country and killed at least nine.
Virtually nonexistent in the U.S. before the recent influx of illegal alien minors, the lethal Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) is associated with severe respiratory illness and is known to come from Central America. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from mid-August to the end of October state public health laboratories have confirmed a total of 1,105 people in 47 states and the District of Columbia with respiratory illness caused by EV-D68. What the agency conveniently omits is that the deadly virus was first discovered in cities with large numbers of relocated illegal immigrant minors, officially identified by the government as Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC).
A conservative news website connected the dots after reviewing a growing body of genetic and statistical evidence. The big EV-D68 epidemic coincides with the barrage of Central American minors that entered the U.S. through Mexico over the summer. Hundreds of American kids have been sent to hospital emergency rooms in more than 40 states with unprecedented polio-like paralysis associated with EV-D68. By September 8 hospitals in a dozen states were reporting cases of EV-D68-like infections and by mid-September 153 patients were confirmed as having the virus in 18 states, the news site reports.
By October 538 victims—mostly young children—were confirmed to have EV-D68 in 43 states, according to information provided by the CDC, and by the end of the month confirmed infections reached 998. That’s 300 times the infection rate during a period that spanned more than three decades, from 1970 to 2003. The article quotes hospital physicians in different parts of the country confirming the unprecedented amount of victims brought in for treatment. This includes emergency rooms and intensive care units in Missouri, Illinois, Colorado and Texas.
Back in July Judicial Watch warned about the health crisis created by the hordes of illegal immigrant minors entering the country through the southern border. A United States Congressman who is also a medical doctor confirmed that the UACs were bringing in serious diseases—including swine flu, dengue fever, tuberculosis and possibly Ebola virus. In a letter to the director of the CDC the Georgia lawmaker, Phil Gingrey, warned of a “severe and dangerous” crisis because most of the UACs were importing infectious diseases from Central America that are considered to be largely eradicated in the U.S.
Additionally, Dr. Gingrey warned federal health officials that many of the migrants lack basic vaccinations such as those to prevent chicken pox or measles, leaving America’s young children and the elderly particularly susceptible. “As the unaccompanied children continue to be transported to shelters around the country on commercial airlines and other forms of transportation, I have serious concerns that the diseases carried by these children may begin to spread too rapidly to control,” the congressman wrote to the CDC director back in July. “In fact, as you undoubtedly know, some of these diseases have no known cure.”
Months later we’re seeing that the congressman’s warnings have unfortunately materialized. It’s not just EV-D68 that the illegal alien kids are spreading to American children. Last month 10 UACs who were allowed to stay in the U.S. were diagnosed with Tuberculosis (TB), a deadly infectious disease that attacks the lungs. Because TB is considered to be eradicated in the U.S., kids aren’t even vaccinated to guard against. Not surprisingly, the government has issued a statement claiming that the CDC “believes that the children arriving at U.S. borders pose little risk of spreading infectious diseases to the general public.”
However, our government does acknowledge that these illegal immigrant minors fleeing dirt-poor, third-world countries infested with unbearable violence “may not have received a few vaccines, such as chickenpox, influenza, and pneumococcal vaccines.” As a “precaution” those who don’t have “documentation of previous valid doses of vaccine” will receive them, compliments of Uncle Sam. They are also being screened for visible and obvious health issues such as lice, rashes, diarrhea and cough upon arriving at Customs and Border Protection shelters.
