History of Satan

The history of Satan began with riches and honor. Satan had a glorious future. Then he became jealous and proud. He refused to repent and his future became dark. The events of history continue as Satan comes to earth and tries to become the god of this world.

Satan has caused more sorrow, pain, and death than any other individual in the history of the world. He delights in destruction. Satan would like to destroy every person on earth.

As you read the history of Satan, know that Jesus is stronger than Satan. Jesus loves you and desires to save you.

History of Satan – past

Satan was created by God thousands of years ago as a perfect angel. Satan was called Lucifer and he lived in heaven.

Lucifer was above every other angel in heaven. His appearance was beautiful and dazzling. He radiated light and glory. He was covered with gold and shimmering jewels. Lucifer was the Chief Covering angel and he worked in the throne room of God.

12 "You were the seal of perfection,

Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.

13 You were in Eden, the garden of God;

Every precious stone was your covering:

The sardius, topaz, and diamond,

Beryl, onyx, and jasper,

Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold.

The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes

Was prepared for you on the day you were created.

14 You were the anointed cherub who covers;

I established you;

You were on the holy mountain of God;

You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones.”

Ezekiel 28:12-14

Lucifer spent a lot of time with God the father and Jesus Christ. They met together frequently to share ideas and make plans. They were very close to each other and were in perfect harmony.

Lucifer became proud

Just over 6,000 years ago God and Jesus had a private meeting and Lucifer was not included. Lucifer became jealous. He set out on a campaign to prove that he was above Jesus. Lucifer began to be proud of his own glory and wisdom.

"Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor.” Ezekiel 28:17

"you have set your heart as the heart of a god.” Ezekiel 28:6

Over time one third of the angels in heaven chose to side with Lucifer and to worship him instead of Jesus. God made tireless efforts to persuade Lucifer to repent and return to God. Lucifer almost relented, but he would not give up his pride and humble himself. He refused to admit that he was wrong.

Lucifer thrown out of heaven

Eventually Lucifer became entrenched in his pride and God could no longer influence him. God reluctantly removed Lucifer from his position of Chief Covering angel. Lucifer was thrown out of heaven, along with the angels who had chosen to follow him.

"How you are fallen from heaven,

O Lucifer, son of the morning!

How you are cut down to the ground,

You who weakened the nations!

13 For you have said in your heart:

'I will ascend into heaven,

I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;

I will also sit on the mount of the congregation

On the farthest sides of the north;

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,

I will be like the Most High.'” Isaiah 14:12-14

History of Satan – present

Satan is alive and real. He got the name Satan after he was thrown out of heaven. Satan and his angels are demons. They live in the spirit world. They tempt and influence people on earth, but most of the time they are invisible to us.

Satan has many names. He is also called the devil, Dragon, Serpent, Beelzebub, Abaddon, Apollyon and many other names. The names of Satan lists many of his names from the Bible.

History of Satan – future

Very soon Satan will be released from the spirit world. He will appear on earth in a glorious, physical body. Then Satan will be called the beast. He will pretend to be God and he will have the appearance of God.

The beast is the name for Satan when he comes visibly to the earth claiming that he is God. His demons will come with him and they will appear to be angels from heaven.

How long will be beast be on earth? Satan will be given 3 ½ years as the visible god of this world. During this time he will try to convince every person on earth to worship him. Do not be deceived. He is not God and you should not worship him.

Who will worship the beast?

History of Satan – ultimate end

Satan will be physically on this earth for 3 ½ years. During that time he will disguise himself as God. After the 3 ½ years he will be put in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years. During the 1,000 years Satan will not be allowed to tempt any people.

“1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; 3 and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.” Revelation 20:1-3

At the end of the 1,000 years Satan will be released from the bottomless pit for a short time. He will gather the wicked together and they will fight against God and His people. God will bring fire down from heaven to destroy the wicked. Satan will be cast into the lake of fire. He will never again tempt any person.

“7 Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea. 9 They went up on the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city. And fire came down from God out of heaven and devoured them. 10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.” Revelation 20:7-10

The universe will be eternally secure from sin and Satan. Sin will never rise again.

“What do you conspire against the LORD? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time.” Nahum 1:9

Satan has 7 heads and 10 horns

In the book of Revelation Satan is described as having 7 heads and 10 horns. In Revelation 12 he is called the dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns. In Revelation 13 and 17 he is called the beast with 7 heads and 10 horns. In each case the Bible is describing the same being. Whenever you see a creature in the Bible with 7 heads and 10 horns you can know immediately that it is talking about Satan. Let’s look at Revelation 12.

Satan is the Dragon with 7 heads and 10 horns

“And another sign appeared in heaven, behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads.” Revelation 12:3

“And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought, but they did not prevail nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:7-9

Notice that the great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns is also called Satan, the Devil, and the serpent of old. These are all different names for the same fallen angel.

The great red dragon with seven heads and ten horns is Satan. He is a sinful, fallen angel. He used to be perfect and he lived in heaven. He was the commander of all the angels in heaven. But he became proud and sinful. He convinced 1/3 of the angels in heaven to worship him instead of God.

God was very patient with Satan and loving towards him. But Satan persistently refused to repent and return to God. Eventually Satan and his evil angels started a war against Michael (Jesus Christ) and His angels.

The dragon with seven heads and ten horns and his evil angels were thrown out of heaven and came to our earth. Satan and millions of his demons have been living on planet earth for thousands of years. But most of that time they have been invisible to people. But they were still able to tempt people and and prompt them to do many evil things.

Satan and his demons are mostly confined to live in the spirit world, which is invisible to people. This is soon to change dramatically!

Satan becomes the Beast with 7 heads and 10 horns

“And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.” Revelation 13:1

The beast has 7 heads and 10 horns, just like the dragon has 7 heads and 10 horns. The dragon and the beast are both Satan. The dragon is his invisible form and the beast is his visible form. Anytime you see a creature in the Bible with 7 heads and 10 horns you know that it is describing Satan.

The dragon has existed for thousands of years and he and his demons live in the spirit world. Very soon the dragon will transform himself into a beautiful, glorious, visible being. He will come out of the spirit world and will appear on earth in a glorious, physical body. He will claim to be God. This is when Satan the dragon becomes Satan the beast.

The Devil and Satan

The Devil and Satan are two different names for the same evil angel. Satan has many names in the Bible. The Devil and Satan are two of his primary names. The names of Satan lists many of the names the Bible uses for Satan.

The Devil

The devil tempts people to sin. The devil is devious and crafty. But God is able to deliver us from the temptations and snares of the devil. Here are some of the verses in the Bible about the devil:

“Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.” Matthew 4:1

“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Ephesians 6:11

“And that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.” 2 Timothy 2:26

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

“He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8

Satan

Satan is a sinful, fallen angel. He tempts people to sin and takes control of their hearts. God is able to deliver us from temptations and deceptions of Satan. Here are some of the verses in the Bible about Satan:

“And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him.” Mark 1:13

“But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself?’” Acts 5:3

“To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” Acts 26:18

The Beast

The beast is the name that the Bible gives to Satan when he comes to earth physically and claims to be God. Satan will appear on earth as a glorious, visible being. He will have the appearance of God.

“And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14

The beast will demand that the whole world worship him as their god.

Lucifer, Satan and the Devil

Lucifer, Satan and the Devil are three different names for the same angel. Lucifer refers to this angel when he lived in heaven. Satan and the Devil are names for this angel after he became evil and came to our earth. The Bible uses many names for Satan. Read the names of Satan to find more of his names.

Lucifer

Lucifer was created by God as a perfect angel. He was called Lucifer while he lived in heaven. After he sinned and persistently refused to repent he was thrown out of heaven. When Lucifer was cast out of heaven he lost his name Lucifer and he became known as Satan. The history of Satan tells his story.

Satan and the Devil

Satan is the name that is used for Lucifer after he was thrown out of heaven. He is also called the devil. Satan is now a sinful, fallen angel. He has lived on this earth for about 6,000 years. But Satan has lived in the spirit world and most of the time he has not been visible to people on earth. Very soon the devil will leave the spirit world and will appear on earth in a visible form. Then he will be called the beast.

The Beast

The beast is the name that the Bible gives to Satan when he comes to earth visibly and claims to be God. Satan will appear on earth as a glorious, visible being. He will have the appearance of God. He will require the whole world to worship him as their god.

Is Satan the Beast?

Yes, Satan is the beast. But when Satan comes as the beast he will not look like the Devil. He will look like God.

Very soon Satan and his evil angels will be allowed to inhabit physical, visible bodies. They will visit people and talk to them. They will not appear as hideous demons. They will appear as God and glorious angels from heaven. They will deceive most of the people on earth.

When Satan appears on earth in a beautiful, shining body he will claim that he is God. This is who the beast is. The beast is Satan appearing on earth as a radiant, heavenly being, claiming to be God.

Names of Satan

The Bible calls Satan by many different names. Each name has a slightly different meaning. The many other names for Satan give a fuller picture of who Satan is and what he does. There are more names for Satan in the Bible than for anyone else except Jesus Christ.

Abaddon

Hebrew name for Satan meaning “Destruction”. “And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.” Revelation 9:11

Accuser

“Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, ‘Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.’” Revelation 12:10

Adversary

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8

Angel of light

“And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14

Angel of the bottomless pit

“And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.” Revelation 9:11

Anointed covering cherub

Antichrist

“And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.” 1 John 4:3

Apollyon

Greek name for Satan meaning “Destroyer”. “And they had as king over them the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon.” Revelation 9:11

Beast

“9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, ‘If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.’” Revelation 14:9,10 Who is the beast?

Beelzebub

“Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, ‘This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.’” Matthew 12:24

Belial

“And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever?” 2 Corinthians 6:15

Deceiver

“So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.” Revelation 12:9

Devil

Dragon

Murderer

Power Of Darkness

Who is the Beast in Revelation 13?

“And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.” Revelation 13:1

The most solemn warning in the Bible is given to people who worship the beast. This warning includes the threat of receiving God’s wrath.

“If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath.” Revelation 14:9,10

If you worship the beast and receive his mark you will receive the complete wrath of God. So it is very important to understand who the beast is so you can avoid worshiping him.

First of all, the beast is not a wild animal like a tiger or a lion. He is not a literal animal.

Second, the beast is not a person, a country, or a human organization. So who is the beast? What does the beast represent?

The Beast is Satan claiming to be God

The beast is a symbol for Satan. But here’s the catch. Satan will come to earth disguised as God. He will wear a costume that makes him appear to be God. He will take on the appearance of God. But he is not God. He is Satan, the great deceiver.

Satan has been on the earth for thousands of years. But most of the time he has not been visible to human eyesight. He has existed in the spirit world. Soon he will transform himself into a being that looks and sounds like God.

Satan will become visible to us and he will be disguised as God. He will have the appearance of a glorious, heavenly being. The Bible calls him the beast when he comes to earth pretending to be God. The beast in Revelation 13 is Satan masquerading as God.

What does the Beast look like?

When Satan comes to earth in a visible body he will be glorious, impressive, attractive and charismatic.

People will recognize that he is stronger and more majestic than a mere human being. People will be convinced by their senses that Satan is God. The book of Revelation calls him the beast.

The beast will speak in a melodious voice and he will have friendly, loving eyes. He will be gentle and kind. His appearance will dazzle and charm people. He will be extremely powerful.

The Beast will look like God

People will believe that the beast is God. They will be entranced and drawn to him. They will have an almost irresistible desire to worship the beast.

“And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.” Revelation 13:1

When Satan comes to earth looking like God and claiming to be God, he will have seven symbolic heads. Each head will have a blasphemous name.

Blasphemy is claiming to be God when you aren’t God. Satan will claim to be God even though he is not God. He will give himself seven names that are variations of God’s name.

The 10 horns that the beast has are 10 of Satan’s leading demons. These 10 demons will be kings and rule with Satan. This is why each of them is wearing a crown.

When will the Beast come to earth?

The beast will arrive on the earth in the very near future. The whole world will quickly become aware of his coming. He will not arrive in secret.

The beast will have a supernatural and glorious arrival on earth. He will look like God. People on earth will worship him. Most people will be deceived into believing that he is God.

The beast is not God. He is Satan himself. But he will come to earth disguised as God.

There are 5 major events that will happen on earth just before the beast comes.

Worldwide Earthquake

Very soon there will be a worldwide earthquake. This major earthquake will shake the whole world. It will be accompanied by thunder, lightning and noises.

“Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.” Revelation 8:5

Shortly after the first worldwide earthquake there will be 4 severe calamities. They are called trumpets in the Bible. These four trumpets will devastate the earth.

Trumpet 1

“The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up.” Revelation 8:7

A barrage of meteorites hits the earth and thousands of fires are ignited. The crops that are ready for harvest are burned up and 1/3 of the trees in the forests are burned up.

Trumpet 2

“Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. And a third of the living creatures in the sea died, and a third of the ships were destroyed.” Revelation 8:8,9

An asteroid the size of a mountain plummets into the ocean. 1/3 of the ships that are sailing on the ocean are sunk and 1/3 of the fish die. The ocean becomes like blood.

Trumpet 3

“Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the water, because it was made bitter.” Revelation 8:10,11

An asteroid falls to the earth, blazing with fire. The asteroid contains a bitter contaminant. One third of the rivers and springs of water are poisoned. Many people die from drinking the water.

Trumpet 4

“Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night.” Revelation 8:12

One third of the sun, moon and stars are darkened and the day and night turn dark. The smoke and ejecta from the first three trumpets darkens the air and the sky.

The first four trumpets occur over the course of a few days. They cause worldwide devastation and they get the attention of everyone on the earth.

These calamities are acts of God. They are not caused by man or by Satan. It is evident that God has interrupted the lives of people on earth. People are frightened beyond description. “Is God angry with us?” they are wondering. Preachers are calling on people to repent and return to God.

The Beast comes to earth

Within a month or two after these four disasters occur, the beast will come. He will say that he is God and that people must repent of their sins and return to him. But he is not God. He is Satan and people should not worship or follow him.

The first beast in Revelation 13 is Satan, pretending to be God.

The second beast in Revelation 13

The second beast in Revelation 13 will arrive on the earth at the same time as the first beast. These two beasts will come together and they will work together.

“Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon. And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.” Revelation 13:11,12

Notice these characteristics of the second beast:

1. Two horns

2. Like a lamb

3. Speaks like a dragon

4. Exercises authority in the presence of the first beast

5. Forces those who dwell on the earth to worship the first beast

Second beast has 2 horns

The second beast in Revelation 13 has two horns. These two horns represent two of Satan’s demons. These two demons will appear to be gentle and harmless, like a lamb. But they will speak the words of Satan, who is the dragon.

These two demons will be continually in the presence of the beast. Their goal and objective is to force every person on earth to worship the first beast. The first beast is Satan, claiming that he is God.

Two demons named Moses and Elijah

The second beast in Revelation 13 has two horns. These two horns represents two demons. One of them will be named Moses and the other one will be named Elijah. They will pretend to be the prophets Moses and Elijah from the Old Testament in the Bible.

“He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast.” Revelation 13:13,14

The demon named Elijah will call down fire from heaven to prove that the beast is God. This will be like what the prophet Elijah did thousands of years ago.

The demon named Moses will work signs and miracles. This will be like what the prophet Moses did thousands of years ago.

The first beast in Revelation 13 is Satan, claiming that he is God. The second beast in Revelation 13 is two demons, claiming to be the prophets of old, Moses and Elijah.

These two beasts will arrive on earth at the same time. Ten leading demons will come with the two beasts. These ten demons are the ten horns that belong to the first beast.

“And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name.” Revelation 13:1

Twelve demons

The 10 demons (10 horns) and the 2 demons (2 horns) added together make 12 demons. Satan will have 12 leading demons with him.

When Jesus was on earth, He had 12 disciples. When Satan is on earth, claiming to be God, he will have 12 leading demons with him.

There will also be millions of demons who come to earth at the same time as the first beast and the second beast of Revelation 13. Many of these demons will pretend to be angels from heaven.

Other demons will pretend to be people who died in the past and went to heaven. They will appear on earth in perfect bodies. They will not have the defects that the people had while they lived on earth. They will say that they have come back to earth to help and warn their friends and relatives on earth.

How long will the beast stay?

Satan and his demons are currently confined to the spirit world. Soon Satan will be released from the spirit world and he will come to earth in a glorious, physical body. He will claim to be God. The Bible calls Satan the beast when he is physically on earth, claiming to be God.

“And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns. . . And all the world marveled and followed the beast. So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, 'Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?'” Revelation 13:1,3,4

Beast cast into lake of fire at the Second Coming of Jesus

At the end of the tribulation, Jesus will come the second time to rescue His people and take them to heaven. When Jesus comes the beast will be cast into the lake of fire.

“Then the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with brimstone.” Revelation 19:20

Satan himself is not destroyed at this time. The beast is a costume or disguise that Satan uses. The beast is thrown into the lake of fire. Satan’s ability to disguise himself as God is destroyed in the lake of fire. Satan will never again be allowed to pretend to be God.

Who will worship the beast?

The beast is Satan, claiming that he is God. Revelation 13:4 reveals how people will react when he appears.

“So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, ‘Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?’

The beast will be extremely powerful. He is the Satan, the Devil, the dragon, and the Serpent of old. He has spent thousands of years developing and strengthening his deceptive powers.

Very soon Satan will transform himself into an angel of light. When he appears as an angel of light he is called the beast.

“For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” 2 Corinthians 11:14

The Whole World will Worship the Beast

When Satan comes as the beast he will have so much power and authority that the whole world will marvel.

“And all the world marveled and followed the beast.” Revelation 13:3

Almost Everyone in the World will Worship the Beast.

A few people will choose to worship the Lamb instead of the beast. Jesus is called the Lamb and Satan is called the beast. The people who choose to worship the Lamb will have their names written in the Lamb’s book of life. Everyone else will worship the beast.

“All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Revelation 13:8

Worship the Beast and Receive the Wrath of God

The Bible gives a severe warning against worshiping the beast and receiving his mark:

If you worship the beast and receive his mark you will receive the complete wrath of God.

How can I know the Beast isn't God?

When Satan comes to earth in a glorious body and pretends to be God most of the people in the world will believe him. They will deluded and will believe his lie.

Second Thessalonians describes what will happen when the beast comes.

The Beast is Satan, the Lawless One.

Satan will be extremely powerful and he will work miracles and signs. He will lie and deceive almost every person.

Words will contradict the Bible

There will only be one way to differentiate the lawless one from the God that he claims to be. The words that Satan speaks will not agree with the Bible.

“To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8:20

Satan will speak words that contradict the word of God. He will mix in a few lies with a lot of truth. But when you mix in a little poison with good food the result is poisonous food.

When you mix in a little black paint with white paint, the result is gray paint. So when Satan mixes in lies with truth the result is deception.

Very soon a glorious being is going to show up on earth and claim that he is God. Please listen carefully to his words and test everything he says against the Bible.

“These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so.” Acts 17:11

Breaks the Ten Commandments

Notice that Satan is called the “lawless one”. He does not keep the law of God and he will lead his followers to disobey the law of God.

Satan will tell people that since he is God that he has the right and the ability to change the ten commandments. He will expect people to obey his changed version. But his words will not agree with the ten commandments and he should not be obeyed or worshiped.

The Mark of the Beast

The mark of the beast is coming soon. Getting the mark of the beast will have eternal consequences.

Don’t get the Mark of the Beast

If you worship the beast and receive his mark you will receive the complete wrath of God. The book of Revelation in the Bible gives us this strong warning:

If you get the mark of the beast God’s complete wrath will be poured out on you.

Mark is required

“He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” Revelation 13:16-17

When you are required by law to get the mark of the beast and when you can’t buy or sell without it how will you live?

What is the Mark of the Beast?

The mark of the beast is a combination of letters and symbols that will be physically and permanently placed on your forehead or right hand. Most people will consider it an honor to receive the mark. It will be like a key for them that will open doors of acceptance, prosperity and peace.

The mark of the beast will be placed on people who worship the beast and choose to receive his mark. There will be severe penalties for refusing the mark and great rewards for getting it.

Worship the Beast and get his Mark

The mark of the beast will be enforced. The people who believe in the beast and worship him will be glad to get his mark.

The beast is not a person or a human organization. The beast is Satan himself. But when Satan comes as the beast he will appear in a glorious body. People will not recognize him as the Devil. He will claim to be God and most people will believe that he is God.

The mark of the beast is an outward, physical symbol, showing that the wearer has chosen to worship the beast and receive him as God.

Mark of the Beast a Symbol of Worship

When two people get married the wife will often take the last name of the husband as her own. The husband and wife will both wear a wedding ring as a symbol of their marriage. Likewise, people will take the name of the beast and will wear his mark as a symbol of their allegiance to him.

There will be six hundred and sixty six different ways to get the mark

666 and the Mark of the Beast

666 comes from Revelation 13 in the Bible. 666 is a human number that is connected with the mark of the beast.

Beast is Satan, claiming to be God

The beast is Satan in a brilliant, perfect body. He will appear to people as a glorious being and he claims to be God. He will have many names, all of which are different names for God. In fact, he will have a total of six hundred and sixty-six (666) names.

“No one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.” Revelation 13:17,18

666 Blasphemous Names

This verse tells us to calculate or count the number of names the beast has. The beast will have 666 names. When he first comes to earth he starts out with 7 blasphemous names and over the next few months he keeps adding names until he reaches 666 blasphemous names. These are blasphemous names because they claim to be God but they aren’t God. When you count up all of his names there will be 666 names.

Mark of the Beast is 666 Names

The mark of the beast is the name of the beast or any of his 666 names. In other words, you receive the mark of the beast by taking any one of the beast’s 666 names.

So why does he need so many names? Because he wants to appeal to every person on earth. He carefully select his blasphemous names so that one of his names will appeal to each person on earth.

He will come as Allah or Imam Mahdi to the Muslims, Maitreya Buddha to the Buddhists, Jesus Christ to the Christians, Krishna to the Hindus, Messiah to the Jews, Saoshyant to the Zoroastrians, the “Dark Lord” to satanists, and so on through the whole list of 666 names.

His goal is to win the worship and allegiance of every person on earth.

What does the Mark of the Beast look like?

The mark of the beast will be a literal, physical combination of letters and symbols. It will be permanently and prominently engraved or tatooed on the forehead or right hand of each person who gets the mark of the beast.

The mark of the beast will include one of the beast's 666 names. Each of the 666 names will be a name for God. The beast is Satan, coming to earth, looking like God and saying that he is God. Each of his names will be blasphemous, because he is not God.

Does the Mark of the Beast Look Nice?

The mark of the beast will look attractive and beautiful. It will please the senses and will excite the admiration of those who see it. Most people who wear it will be proud to have it.

The mark will be plainly visible for all to see. Your friends and family will be able to see if you have received the mark. Your employer can look at you and see the mark. When you go shopping the store clerk will be able to see if you are wearing the mark of the beast.

Is the VeriChip the Mark of the Beast?

The VeriChip is a small radio frequency identification device. It has an identification number and it is the size of a grain of rice. The VeriChip is implanted in the human body. It is currently used in some countries for medical information.

By itself the VeriChip is not the mark of the beast. The mark of the beast will only be offered after the beast has come. The beast is Satan coming to earth disguised as God. He will appear in a beautiful body and will require people to worship him and receive his mark.

VeriChip could be part of the Mark of the Beast

When Satan comes to earth claiming to be God he will require people to receive the mark of the beast. It is possible that a VeriChip could be implanted in the forehead or right hand as a part of the mark of the beast. This would probably only occur in the more industrialized countries.

Currently the VeriChip is not the mark of the beast. But at some point in the future it could be part of the physical mark that is put on a person's forehead or right hand.

The mark of the beast will be placed on a person's forehead or right hand.

Bible Mark of the Beast forced on everyone

"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead." Revelation 13:16

The beast is Satan. But he will appear on earth as a powerful, awesome being. He will claim that he is God. This will happen very soon.

A few months after the beast comes to earth he will attempt to force every person on earth to receive the mark of the beast. He will make a law requiring every person to receive the mark of the beast and there will be stiff penalities to anyone who refuses. This law will apply to every person in every country on earth.

It won’t matter if you are very wealthy or if you are poor. It won’t matter if you are the leader of a great country or if no one knows your name. You may be free, or you may be in prison or in debt.

You may be old or young, male or female. You may be very religious or you may not even believe in God. Nothing about you will matter. If you are alive you will be under great pressure to receive the mark of the beast.

If you choose to receive the mark of the beast it will be placed on your forehead or on your right hand.

You will be given a choice about what mark you want to receive. You will be allowed to choose from any of the 666 names that belong to the beast. Each of the 666 names is a name for God. Each name is blasphemous because the beast is not God.

The beast is Satan, pretending to be God. He will command you to worship him and to receive his mark and he won’t care which of his 666 names you choose.

Who will get the Mark of the Beast?

Almost everyone in the world will get the mark of the beast. There are many reasons why people will choose to get the mark:

It will be Required for Everyone

There will be severe penalties for refusing the mark of the beast

There will be great rewards for getting the mark of the beast

People will believe they are honoring God by receiving the mark of the beast

People will be afraid of not getting the mark of the beast

Peer pressure – most other people are getting the mark of the beast

Financial pressure – can’t buy or sell without the mark of the beast

People will want to get the mark of the beast because then they will be allowed to buy food, water, medicine and clothes. They will be able to work and get paid. Humanly speaking, getting the mark of the beast will be the logical, sane, safe, smart thing to do. But spiritually speaking, it is not wise to get the mark of the beast.

Please understand that God will not allow anyone to receive the mark of the beast unless they choose to get it. People will not be physically forced against their will. But most people will choose to worship the beast and to receive his mark.

When will the Mark of the Beast be required?

It is not possible to get the mark of the beast right now. First of all, the beast does not currently exist and second of all, the mark is not being offered or required.

Very soon the beast will arrive on earth. The beast is not a person or a human organization. The beast is Satan himself. Satan will appear on earth in a glorious body and will claim that he is God. When he comes he will bring millions of his demons with him. They will not appear to be demons. Many of his demons will appear as glorious angels who pretend to be from heaven. Some of his demons will claim to be people who have died and gone to heaven. They will say that they have come back to earth to teach and help other people. They will appear in beautiful, perfect bodies.

Two demons appear to be Moses and Elijah

There will be two powerful demons who will claim to be the prophets Moses and Elijah. They will come with the beast. The three of them will appear to be God, Moses and Elijah.

The two demons who pretend to be Moses and Elijah are described as a beast in Revelation 13. They are called a beast with two horns. The two horns represent two beings, one Moses and the other Elijah.

The demons pretending to be Moses and Elijah will be gentle and kind like a lamb but their words will be the words of Satan. They will have great power and authority. They will tell people to worship the first beast. This first beast is Satan. He appears to be God and people will adore and worship him.

Fire from Heaven and Miracles

"13 He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men. 14 And he deceives those who dwell on the earth by those signs which he was granted to do in the sight of the beast." Revelation 13:13-14

The demon who is pretending to be Elijah will call down fire from heaven to prove that the beast (Satan) is God.

The demon who is pretending to be Moses will work miracles to prove that the beast (Satan) is God.

"16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." Revelation 13:16-17

After Satan and his demons have been on earth for a few months the two demons pretending to be the prophets Moses and Elijah will force people to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. They will enforce the mark of the beast.

How will you get the Mark of the Beast?

First of all, you can’t get the mark of the beast accidentally. You can’t get it without meaning to. The mark of the beast is not a disease and it is not contagious.

You will get the mark of the beast by making a conscious choice to receive it. There will be a magnificent, powerful, loving being on earth claiming to be God. There will be two glorious, powerful prophets with him who claim to be the prophets Moses and Elijah. The three of them will convince almost everyone in the world to worship this beautiful, charismatic being who looks like God. They will convince almost everyone in the world to get his mark.

These three beings will offer protection, eternal life, peace and prosperity to people if they will worship the being claiming to be God and receive his special mark as a symbol of their allegiance.

This is the mark of the beast.

666 Versions of the Mark of the Beast

There will be 666 different options or versions of the mark. The beast will have 666 slightly different names that all claim to be God. One of these names will seem appropriate and attractive to each person on earth. For example, Christians believe that Jesus Christ will come again, the Jews believe that the Messiah is coming. So when the beast arrives on earth he will claim to be Jesus Christ to the Christians and he will offer them a version of his mark that is Christian. He will claim to be Messiah to the Jews and he will offer them a mark that is Jewish.

Most people will be deceived into believing that they should get the mark of the beast. They will line up to get it. They will feel honored to get it.

But please note that this awesome being is not God. You should not worship him. He is the beast. He is Satan. You should avoid his mark at all costs. You will not receive peace, prosperity or eternal life. All 666 versions of the mark of the beast are false and dangerous.

What if you get the Mark of the Beast?

Here is a very important point. If you choose to get the mark of the beast you are choosing to worship the beast and give him your allegiance. You will be worshiping Satan. You will be breaking the first of the ten commandments. In the first commandment God says,

"You shall have no other gods before Me.” Exodus 20:3

If you worship the beast you are placing another god before the true God of heaven.

If you choose one of the beast’s 666 names to be put on your forehead or on your right hand you are choosing to worship the beast as your god. You will be worshiping a false god and will receive the undiluted wrath of the true God who lives in heaven.

Allowed to buy and sell

It will seem like a good idea to get the mark of the beast because then you will be able to buy and sell. You can buy food and water. You can buy medicine and clothes for your family. You can continue to work at your job and get paid.

Mark of the Beast Brings the Complete Wrath of God

Receiving the mark of the beast has a very serious consequence.

The most solemn, fiery threat in the Bible applies to anyone who receives the mark of the beast.

"If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name." Revelation 14:9-11

If you receive the mark of the beast you will receive the full wrath of God. His wrath will not have any mercy mixed in with it.

Everyone who has the mark of the beast will receive seven terrible plagues. The 1st plague will be terrible, painful sores.

"So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image." Revelation 16:2

Get the Mark of the Beast and Die Eternally

Beyond receiving 7 plagues full of the wrath of God, the people who receive the mark of the beast will lose the opportunity to live forever. They will die eternally instead.

What if you refuse the Mark of the Beast?

If you refuse to get the mark of the beast you will not be allowed to buy anything or to sell anything. You will not get paid for your work. You will not be able to buy food, medicine, water, fuel, clothes or anything at all. You will be cut off from support and most likely you will be killed.

Can’t Buy or Sell Without the Mark of the Beast

You will be Hated and Likely Killed

"Now brother will deliver up brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. And you will be hated by all for My name's sake. But he who endures to the end will be saved." Matthew 10:21,22

You will be forced to get the mark of the beast. If you refuse the mark of the beast you will not be allowed to buy anything or sell anything. You may be put in prison and you may be killed.

So why would Anyone Refuse the Mark of the Beast?

Refuse the Mark of the Meast and Live Eternally

Some wise people will refuse to worship the beast and to receive the mark of the beast. They will choose to worship the God of heaven instead. Many of these people will be killed. But a short time later they will be raised from the dead and they will live and reign with Christ for 1,000 years.

"Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years." Revelation 20:4

After the 1000 years is over, the people who refused the mark of the beast will live forever and ever with God. They will be perfectly and eternally happy

Choose against the Mark of the Beast

Every person will be required to choose between 2 options. Please carefully consider these 2 options:

1. Get the mark of the beast – You will be worshiping the beast. The beast is Satan claiming to be God. You will be able to buy and sell. Many people will like you. You can keep your job and your house. But you will soon receive the full wrath of God, poured out without mercy. You will die forever.

2. Refuse the mark of the beast – You will not be able to buy or sell. People will hate you. You will lose your job, your house and most likely your life. But God will have mercy on you and if you believe in Him and worship Him you will live again, forever.

Worship God or Satan?

Every person on earth will worship one of two beings. Either it will be the true God of heaven or it will be the beast, who is Satan claiming to be God.

There is only one way to receive eternal life and one name to believe in to receive salvation.

“the name of Jesus Christ . . . Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." Acts 4:10-12

There are many ways to be lost and many false gods to worship. The beast will have 666 approved names that all claim to be God but are all false.

Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." Matthew 7:13,14

Each person will either take God’s name or take one of the beast’s 666 names. God has only 1 name and 1 way – the right way. Satan has 666 names, 666 ways – all wrong.
