Shocking Pedophilia in Target: What You Urgently Need to Know

Cameron Cook was at a Target store with his mom over the weekend when he saw a little girl alone and noticed a strange man standing too close to her. Cameron’s mom, Heather, was preoccupied shopping and at first tried to pull Cameron along. The 17-year-old insisted his mother stop to assess the situation. Something was definitely wrong.
“I seen the guy grabbing himself, and my mom goes, ‘Cam, let’s go. Keep walking,’ I was like, ‘No, something’s going on.’”
“I was close enough that I could smell the liquor coming from his mouth,” said Heather, “It was horrible.”
Cameron did two things: 1) He fearlessly approached the large man, and 2) He loudly asked the man what he was doing.
“So I went up to him, I was like, ‘Excuse me sir, do you know her?’ And then the first thing he said was, ‘I’m not a pervert, I’m not a pervert.’ I was like, I didn’t ask you that sir,” said Cameron.
Cameron continued speaking down to the man until he ran out of the store.
“It’s likely the teenager saved the little girl from an unthinkable fate,” Inspire More stated.
“He was big, and Cameron had no fear at all,” said his mother. “He just stood firm on the fact that he knew what this man was doing was wrong.”
Cameron wants no praise for his actions, only to inspire others to step in when they feel that something is not right.
“Pedophilia is considered an “abnormal or unnatural attraction.” Pedophilia is defined as the fantasy or act of sexual activity with prepubescent children. Pedophiles are usually men, and can be attracted to either or both sexes. How well they relate to adults of the opposite sex varies. (Psychology Today)
“Perpetrators often delude themselves into viewing their actions as helpful to children. They might tell themselves they are contributing to a child’s development or that the child is enjoying the act; however, they do tell their victims not to alert their parents or authorities.”
Reporting pedophilia often results in the reporting person being victimized, disbelieved, and/or distrusted because too little is known about prevalence of pedophilia. Furthermore, it is easier to remain in denial, blame the messenger, and avoid addressing the real issue. No bully of any type, however, whether diagnosed mentally ill or not, will ever stop their unacceptable behavior on their own.

Child Sexual Abuse Signs You See So Often, You’ll Be Shocked

First across Europe and now, across the United States, people of goodwill  simply wear a safety pin to clearly show street crime victims that they are not alone when harassed or intimidated and that they can turn to the safe person for help.
“I’m just happy I was there to protect her,” said Cameron. “Because you never know what could have went on.”
